Why Stretch? Stretching and lengthening allows for greater movement in joints and improves posture. It also helps to release muscle tension, soreness, and reduces the risk of injury. Stretching also helps increase circulation, muscle control, and improve balance and coordination.


The 95 year young women in the video  is Thelma Warren (Grams to me)  Grams is a true inspiration to all.

She raised 5 generations, buried two of her children and her husband, along with several relatives. Grams is the first District mother of her church.  She cooks, cleans, and helps with her grandchildren. With her busy life at 95, she makes time to focus on her fitness, health, and wellness. 


As a trainer, I hear so many excuses that individuals use that prevent them from enjoying a healthy and fit wellness journey.  Here are a few:


  • Don’t Have Enough Time…Way to Busy– Grams raised 5 generations, she took care of her husband, her children, her children’s children, her children’s children’s children, the community children, she worked, cooked, sewed, churched, disciplined, you name it, she did it!  With that amazingly busy schedule, she made time for her fitness, health and wellness. She managed her time wisely and so should you!! 


  • Too Tired – Guess what? A good workout regimen actually gives you more energy. Your body makes feel-good hormones (endorphins), and you're getting the circulation going. Grams also was tired….with her hectic schedule, tired was an understatement. She did not use tired as an excuse, she used it as a motivator, pushed past tired, and got the job done!
